Systems for transporting and distribution of manure into soil
Systems for transporting and distribution of manure into soil
Manure disposal is the issue that every animal breeding complex faces. Liquid animal waste is a unique and valuable organic fertilizer. One of the key factors of successful development of industrial animal breeding is efficient use of organic fertilizers in fields in order to reduce mineral fertilizer expenses while growing agricultural crops. Increase of profitability of animal breeding directly depends on how efficient the system for distributing of organic fertilizers into the soil.
Hose systems for introducing manure
“Biocom Technology” offers a wide range of simple, reliable and cost-efficient hose systems for putting liquid manure into the soil.
The operation principle of the hose scene with a towed hose:
The system needs to be installed in the center of the field, where liquid manure needs to be spread. Unspool the hose to the farthest corner of the field and drag the hose with a tractor until the entire field area is treated. After the manure is spread, before the hoses are spooled back they need to be blown through with a compressor.
Special features:
- High capacity – up to 2000 m³ per shift;
- Minimal labor costs as well as fuel & lubricant consumption;
- Pumping distance – up to 5000 m and more;
- Easy operation and maintenance due to use of pipes with large diameter.
System contents:
- Manure storage device.
- Submersible pump with agitator.
- Tractor.
- Supply pipe.
- Pump from tractor PTO shaft.
- Hose spool.
- Hose to be towed by the tractor, with applicator.
High-pressure PTO-driven pumps
If the distance for manure pumping and distribution is small (under 1400 m) it is recommended to use a mobile pump, driven by the tractor’s PTO shaft. This pump can also be used as an auxiliary pump at significant distances (5000m and more). Mobile PTH-type self-priming high-pressure pumps are equipped with a multi-channel rotor with a chopping mechanism. The working parts of the two-step chopping mechanism are made of stainless steel. The pump is installed on a galvanized frame. Diameter of the suction inlet DNa – 150mm. Diameter of the delivery opening DNm – 65…100mm.
Hose transporters
Hose transporters are intended for storage, transporting and layout of the hoses. The hoses are stored on the transporter in a connected position. Before operation, the necessary number of hoses are laid out, corresponding to the length of the necessary track, and the closest coupling is disconnected. After the end of operation in this direction, hoses are spooled back on the transporter with by means of the standard hydraulic motor, powered by the tractor’s hydraulic system, and then laid out in the other direction. The spool is driven by the hydraulic drive, powered by the tractor’s hydraulic system.
Trailed transporters: single-axis, reinforced, with hydraulic system for steady spooling, capacity up to 2800 m (102 mm hose), up to 2000 m (152mm hose) or 1400m (203 mm hose). Transporters are equipped with a coupling device, which allows to couple several transporters towed by the same tractor.
Transporters are equipped with signal lights, which allows to tow them along public roads. A special device consisting of 2 rollers facilitates pushing out the remains of the liquid out of the hoses during spooling.
Lay-flat arterial and towed hoses
Polyurethane hoses are highly resistant to sewage and ultraviolet emissions, hydrolisis and molds. High wear-resistance makes the hoses perfect for application and towing across rough terrain. The hose retains its features at temperatures of -50°C through +70°C. The hoses are supplied in 200 m sections, connected with special quick-release couplings. Thanks to a strong cord, the hoses cannot be damaged when any type of wheeled machine move across them. Caterpillar-chain machines are the exception.
Applicators for spray-based slurry spreading:
For even distribution of manure in the field, a mounted plate-type sprinkler is used for surface distribution. A single or double sprayer can be used. The double sprayer, due to its special construction, allows to distribute slurry at different heights above ground.
All devices are equipped with a unique hose protection system – the pivot-jointed pipe. The pipe protects the towed hose from damage when the tractor makes turns.
An important element of injectors and applicators is the hydraulic feeder, which distributes manure from the supply pipe among several hoses for uniform manure distribution along the entire width of the device and eliminates the possibility of clogging of the openings.
Fertilizer injectors
As the cost of fertilizers grow, deriving maximum benefit from manure for fertilization of crops is becoming more and more important. Efficient use of manure can decrease the quantity of purchased chemical fertilizers.
The use of injectors has the following advantages:
- Significant reduction of nitrogen emissions into the atmosphere;
- Even manure spreading in the field;
- Prevention of plant leaf spoilage;
- Minimal harm and plant damage;
- No disturbance of soil integrity;
- High efficiency;
- Compatibility with GPS devices / electronic flowmeter;
- Possibility for manure spreading in enclosed pastures, without contaminating the grass;
- Reduction of unpleasant odors during distribution;
- Possibility of manure spreading in windy conditions.
Manure spreading by means of injectors significantly increases the use of nitrogen contained in the manure by 25% compared to traditional manure spreading by means of mounted sprayers or sprinkler installations.
Flowmeter
For accurate control over the necessary volume of spreading, depending on the speed of the towing tractor, the device is equipped with an electromagnetic flowmeter with a display, which is installed in the tractor cab, so that the operator can change the tractor speed to suit the necessary spreading dosage.
GPS navigation
To make work in night time more convenient, and to make more accurate electronic field maps, with definition of actual volumes of manure distributed at a field, the towing tractor can be equipped with a GPS system.
